Woman was stabbed multiple times to neck – PME finds

Twenty-four-year-old Shenece Lawrence was stabbed several times to the neck, a Post Mortem Examination (PME) performed by Dr Nehal Singh, found on Friday.

The woman’s body has since been handed over to the family for burial while the murder accused, Jermaine Bristol remains in police custody three days later.

News Room understands that the Police are awaiting legal advice before charging him.

Police found Lawrence’s body with the knife stuck in her neck at the Lot 272 Freeman Street, East La Penitence Georgetown home she had shared with Bristol on August 22 at around 11:30hrs.

It is alleged that Bristol, a Security Guard, walked to the Brickdam Police Station, and turned himself in, after committing the brutal crime.

The young woman and Bristol shared a five-year relationship and started to live together two months ago but things went sour and she moved out of the house.

She returned on Wednesday when she met her death.
