An intelligence-led operation by ranks of the Guyana Police Force intercepted a car with three ex-policemen at Rahaman’s turn, Houston East Bank Demerara Tuesday afternoon.

The News Room was reliably informed that former policemen Teon ‘Spoil Child’ Allen of Linden, Jason Gonsalves of William Street, Kitty and Shaquille George were arrested after they crashed into a fence following a chase by the Police.

Reports indicate that Allen, who was the driver of the car, pointed a gun at the Police when he was shot.

A 9mm pistol was found in the driver’s side of the car. Police Headquarters are yet to issue an official statement on the incident.

Allen is a well-known criminal character and has been on the Police’s radar for quite some time.

He was charged in 2017 for harbouring two wanted men who broke out of the Camp Street prison on July 9, 2017.

In September this year, he was charged for discharging a firearm with intent to commit murder and was released on $50,000 bail.

A wanted bulletin was issued for him in connection with the attempted murder of Denise Grant and Tiffany McDeth, in Amelia’s Ward, Linden, Region 10 on September 2, 2019.

Allen is believed to be the leader of a notorious gang that has been wreaking havoc in Linden and on the East Bank of Demerara.
