Minister of Public Health Volda Lawrence announced on Wednesday that as of March 31, Guyana recorded 19 confirmed cases of the new Coronavirus – an increase of seven cases from March 30.
The number of deaths remains at two.
In her daily update Wednesday, Minister Lawrence said there is one positive case in Region Three, 17 confirmed cases in Region Four, one case in Region Six and one inconclusive test result.
She revealed that 70 persons were tested for the disease of which 50 are negative.
There are 11 persons in institutional isolation of which one person remains in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) while 119 persons are in-home quarantine.
