The Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM) on Friday morning voted to proceed with a national recount of votes cast on March 02, 2020.
The recount will be done chronologically, starting with District 1. There are ten electoral districts.
All details regarding how the recount will be carried out will be provided later, the Public Relations Officer of GECOM, Yolanda Ward told reporters via a WhatsApp group.
