52-Y-0 man dies from COVID-19
A 52-year-old man identified as Alfred Humphrey is Guyana’s latest COVID-19 death.
The News Room was reliably informed that the patient died on Wednesday, six days after being admitted in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Georgetown Public Hospital.
The number of COVID-19 related deaths now stands at 32.
On August 21, 2020, a 47-year-old woman also died at the Georgetown Hospital; she was the 31st COVID-19 death.
Prior to her death, eight other patients died within a week before receiving their COVID-19 results.
As of August 26, 2020, 1, 093 confirmed COVID-19 cases were recorded.
