Police have arrested the 44-year-old wife of 47-year-old Mohamed Haniff who was attacked and killed by three masked men in his lot 56 Experiment, West Coast Berbice home on Friday night.

Haniff, a taxi driver, was beaten by the bandits with a metal bar and chopped to the head while the wife sat silently and watched.

Police Headquarters in a statement revealed that the couple was home alone when the three masked men, one of whom was armed with a gun, invaded the house at about 21:00h.
