Director of Prisons Gladwin Samuels, in a brief report, noted that Leroy Graham, who was on remand for armed robbery, escape from the facility at around 01:30h.

The Prison Director did not say how the young man managed to escape but noted that he was admitted to the prison on August 20, 2020.

Graham’s last known address is Middle Walk, Buxton ECD.

Anyone with information on him please contact Lusignan Operations Room on 220 4173 or the nearest Police Station.

The Lusignan Prison continues to remain a high-risk area given its overcrowding and the recent shooting to death of two prisoners who tried to escape last Saturday during a riot.

Five others were wounded when Prison Officers opened fire on them. The situation escalated after two prisoners initially tested positive for the deadly Coronavirus.

A total of 140 prisoners from the same facility later tested positive.
