Robbery convict escapes from Lusignan prison while on kitchen duty
An investigation and manhunt has been launched following the escape of a prisoner from the Lusignan Prison, East Coast Demerara on Tuesday.
Director of Prisons Gladwin Samuels in a statement said 23-year-old James Moore was booked out from the Holding Bay at the prison to be on kitchen duty. At about 16:30h he was discovered missing from the kitchen.
Moore is serving a three years sentence for armed robbery. His addresses on record are Lot 544 New Road Dairy, West Bank Demerara and Dennis Street Turkeyen, East Coast Demerara.
