Ranks of the Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU) have arrested three persons, including a female, in connection with the discovery of 44.974 kilograms (99 lbs) of marijuana in New Amsterdam, Berbice on Wednesday morning.
A brief statement from CANU noted that the ranks intercepted a car with marijuana packed in several bulk plastic-wrapped parcels.
Investigations are ongoing.
