Details are emerging of an armed robbery and shooting that took place a short while ago at the M.Ali GUYOIL Service Station station located on Main Street, New Amsterdam, Berbice.
Regional Commander Boodnarine Persaud confirmed that he was just informed of an incident where men armed with guns stormed the fuel station. He said initial reports are that a person was shot.
In September 2020, a pump attendant at the said fuel station was shot during the course of a robbery committed there.
Investigations are in progress. The News Room will provide details in subsequent reports.
