A young woman, who has not yet been identified by police, was found dead on Thursday at the Pappi Show Backdam in Region Seven (Cuyuni- Mazaruni).
This was confirmed by Regional Commander Dion Moore on Friday.
Moore told the News Room that the woman’s body was being transported from the backdam for an autopsy. As such, he could not provide any details on her cause of death.
The Commander also said that a male is in police custody, assisting with investigations.
