Crime Chief Wendell Blanhum is dispelling media reports that the criminal file belonging to Rondy Jagdeo is missing.

Speaking during an exclusive interview with News Room this morning (March 21) the Crime Chief said he is unclear where the media house got the information from, but based on the checks ,which were done following the report, the police discovered that the file is still in police custody.

While it is not at the Criminal Investigation Department, it is at the Brickdam Police Station with investigators there.

Blanhum was asked what he feels may have prompted the media report about a missing Rondy Jagdeo File on Sunday, but he maintained that he was unaware.

Rondy Jagdeo shot his friend and biker, Kirk Davis several years ago after a fall out. The two were said to be very close friends prior to the incident and there were reports in sections of the society that the fallout came over a female, whom the two were talking to separately.

Blanhum said that the police are presently engaging the witness in the Rondy Jagdeo matter and the file will soon be resent to the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP).

The court threw the matter out on the grounds that there was not sufficient evidence to establish the offence of murder against the accused.

The matter was however appealed by the DPP and the police were sent back to do a proper investigation and according to Blanhum they have already spoken to the main witness, who has indicated that he will consider testifying in the matter.
