Brazil accepts agreement for appointment of Talbot as resident Ambassador

H.E George Wilfred Talbot has been appointed resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana to the Federative Republic of Brazil.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced today that the agreement was received from the South American country in this regard.

Mr. Talbot is a career diplomatic who joined the Foreign Service in 1993. He is currently Guyana’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, a position he held since 2012.

Talbot also serves as the non-resident Ambassador to the State of Israel and the non-resident High Commissioner to the Republic of Namibia.
