    BY Leroy Smith

The battered body of an unidentified male of East Indian descent was this morning (April 3) found wrapped in  construction plastic, strapped with rope and dumped along the Coldingen, East Coast Demerara Railway embankment road.

According to information reaching News Room, which was first on the scene, someone who was passing the area noticed the remains on the road shoulder and called the police, who responded promptly to the scene, cordoned off the area and began their investigation.

Divisional Commander, Assistant commissioner of Police,  Marlon Chapman and other senior police officers from the ‘C’ Division and the Criminal Investigations Department Headquarters were also on the scene.

Up to the time that the body was removed, it was still not identified and according to the commander, based on what he has seen, the body was dumped at the location and they are now looking to see where the leads will take them, as they hope to crack the case wide open very shortly.
