    By Leroy Smith

Four men were picked up over the weekend in separate incidents for the execution style killings of Kevon Payne and Gladston Taylor respectively, both from Charlestown, Georgetown.

According to reliable police sources, who spoke with this publication, a brother of the executed Guyana Defence Force Lance Corporal is among the four  persons who were arrested and is likely to be slapped with the capital charge.

He along with another man are fingered in the shooting of Gladston Taylor called “Tuffy” while two other men are fingered in the shooting of Kevon Payne.

Police sources have indicated that the killings could be linked but other sources are saying that while the shooting at Smyth Street three weeks ago of Oriley Small  might be linked to the soldier’s killing, the shooting death of ‘Tuffy” might be unrelated to both incidents and could in fact be an opportunistic killing for someone who had a grievance.

The investigations into both incidents are ongoing and the police are looking to lay their hands on some other suspects who may have hired the trigger men.
