Reports of the suspension of Guyana Chronicle Editor-in- Chief, Nigel Williams surfaced around noon today (April 6) following much debate in Social Media about a photoshopped image of President David Granger’s Easter day walk about on the front page of the daily.

News Room reached out to Williams, who confirmed that indeed he was suspended for one week beginning tomorrow.

The Guyana Chronicle since the Coalition Administration took office has been working to reshape its image, even replacing senior functionaries and the editorial team.
