BREAKING NEWS: TSU RANK DROWNS WHILE ON GGMC OPERATION

A police constable attached to the Tactical Services Unit (TSU) is now dead after the boat he was in capsized in the Potaro River area.

News Room was reliably informed that the police rank was among ten others from the same unit who accompanied ranks from the Guyana Defence Force and personnel from the Guyana Geology and Mines Commission to execute raids on illegal mining camps in that area.

According to information which News Room has confirmed, the dead rank has been identified as Akeem Hyles who has been serving the Guyana Police Force for four years now and hails from New Amsterdam.

Sources said the boat in which the men were travelling encountered difficult waters and subsequently capsized.
