SHOOTING UPDATE: Gunman escapes after opening fire at Police patrol

A man this afternoon (April 10) escaped unhurt after opening fire on a police patrol.


According to information reaching News Room, the man allegedly had an issue with someone in the Albouystown Community and was about to chase after the individual with a gun, when he noticed the police in the area.


The man then began firing shots at the police, who returned fire, however he managed to escape by running through a cross street.


The police were forced to cease fire since persons, including children were in the vicinity.


An investigation is ongoing, even as the police continue their search for the man.


News Room was unable to locate the other man with whom the gunman had the issue with.
