POLICE CONSTABLE SUCCUMBS DAYS AFTER ACCIDENT

A police constable this afternoon passed away days after he was struck down while performing traffic duties.

Dead is Constable La Fleur who was previously attached to the Kitty, Brickdam and more recently Providence Police Stations.

The police constable was at the time of the accident crossing children across the road when a vehicle struck him down.

He was admitted to the Georgetown Public Hospital where his condition was listed as stable, but unfortunately he passed away today just after lunch.
