11 arrested in police raids, drugs, ammunition found

Eleven persons have been arrested and are now in police custody following raids which the police conducted in several communities in Georgetown.

Among the arrested are two brothers from the community of Mc Doom who police sources have since indicated are suspects in a recent robbery.

The raids which were conducted in the Campbellville, Mc Doom and Agricola communities also netted items which are suspected to have been stolen or illegally obtained.

In Agricola, four persons were arrested after the police discovered ammunition and drugs during the search in that community.  In Mc Doom the items suspected to have been stolen or illegally obtained have been recovered and in Campbellville more drugs were found and three persons arrested.

The police are continuing their investigations and are continuing their searches in other communities
