    Public Consultations of COI into Education System begin tomorrow

    The Commission of Inquiry into the Education System will be holding its first public consultation tomorrow (Friday April 22) at 16:30 hours at the Saints Stanislaus College, Brickdam.

     

    The COI is intended to provide evidential bases for the revision, upgrading and extension of the Ministry of Education Strategic Plan.

     

    Notices have been placed in the press inviting members of the public to submit memoranda on their perception of the state of the Education System, inclusive of factual illustrations where possible, and recommendations for the enhancement of the System.

     

    Memoranda should be submitted no later than May 14, 2016, and should be addressed to the Ministry of Education Commission of Inquiry Secretariat, Ministry of Education, 26 Brickdam, Stabroek or via email: [email protected]

     

    Meanwhile, persons who will be desirous of supplementing their memoranda with oral presentations, to the Commission, may indicate, in their submission, the desire to do so.

     

    Persons who are desirous of making oral submissions without submitting memoranda may also write to the Commission, no later than April 30, 2016 expressing the desire to do so.

     

    Consultations are also scheduled for:

     

    • Friday, April 29, 2016 – 16:30 hrs – Auditorium, National Centre   for Educational Resource Development, Kingston
    • Wednesday, May 4, 2016 – 16:30 hrs – St. Stanislaus College
