About 09:30hrs today, ranks of a police mobile patrol conducted a search on a man at Main Street, Georgetown, after he was seen acting suspiciously as the vehicle approached.
During that search an unlicensed point 22 pistol was found in his possession.
The man is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
Also during yesterday Wednesday May 04, 2016, acting on information received, ranks of the Police Narcotics Unit recovered a shotgun that was found in a drain along North Road, Georgetown.
Investigations are in progress.
