A pensioner was moments ago beaten and robbed of a bag containing, so far unidentified items.
According to information provided to News Room, the man was walking along the pavement on Regent Street when the gunman emerged from a store, pushed him to the ground and proceeded to hit him to the head with a gun.
A licensed firearm holder emerged from his store to assist the pensioner, however the gunman threatened to shoot the man.
Details are still sketchy, but the gunman managed to escape.
