GUYOIL announces $5 increase in Kerosene prices countrywide

Effective from tomorrow, May 20, 2016, the Guyana Oil Company says the price for kerosene will be increased by $5 at its Service Stations across the country.

A statement from Guyoil says “this adjustment will see the price moving from G$90.00 per Litre to G$95.00 per Litre in Georgetown, from G$91.00 to G$96.00 per litre in Berbice and from G$92.00 per Litre to G$97.00 per Litre in Essequibo.”

The company says too, despite its efforts to keep the price for this important commodity as affordable as possible, this adjustment has become necessary due to an increase in acquisition cost at source but as it is the price for kerosene remains significantly lower than the competition in all regions.
