Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a Break and Enter and Robbery under Arms, which occurred at the Region four Democratic Office Compound early this morning.
The incident occurred at around 02:00hrs this morning, the police said in a statement.
It noted that four men armed with handguns, stormed the Regional Democratic Office Compound at B.V Triumph, East Coast Demerara and relieved one of the two security guards of cash and valuables.
They also tied the security guards up and proceeded to torch two safes in the building, where they carted off an undisclosed sum of cash.
No arrests have been made thus far.
