Police investigating murder of 23 yr old

UPDATE

The Police are investigating the murder of Puranand Andrew Baljit of Madewini, East Bank Demerara, which occurred about 2100h, June 09, 2016.

Investigations revealed that the parents of the deceased heard sounds coming from his bedroom and upon checking, discovered him lying in a pool of blood with multiple stab wounds.

Baljit who is a mechanic, was rushed to the Diamond Diagnostic Centre, and pronounced dead on arrival by a Doctor.

Investigators have recovered a twelve inch knife from the scene.

No arrests have been made and investigations are in progress.

Newsroom earlier reported that investigators are searching the Soesdyke area for a male or female in connection with the incident.
