It was during an armed robbery on a mechanic shop by three men today (14:00hrs) that 15 year old Jamal Lewis of Wren Avenue, South Ruimveldt was shot to his face.
Lewis, according to the Guyana Police Force allegedly had a scuffle with one of the suspects, during which one round from the suspect’s firearm struck the 15 year old, who was employed at the mechanic shop.
The employees were robbed of cellular phones and a small amount of cash. The suspects escaped in a silver Spacio, registration number unknown.
Jamal Lewis, is presently a patient at the Georgetown Public Hospital, where his condition is listed as serious.
Investigations are in progress.
