Labourer found murdered

A labourer of Lot 101 Unity Street, La Grange, West Bank Demerara, was found dead on Sunday morning with multiple stab wounds about his body.

The body 50-year-old James Stewart was discovered on the roadway with stab wounds to his face and head just after sunrise.

News Room was informed that the man was last seen alive at approximately 00:20hrs on Sunday morning.

The man has no children and has been living by himself for some time now.

Police sources said robbery is not being considered a motive for the killing and officers have since arrested a man in connection with the incident.

Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
