Shane Mc Almont, 33 years and Marlon Joseph called ‘Short Man’, 28 years, both of 111 Miles Mahdia, Potaro were charged today with Murder and Accessory to Murder respectively committed on Shawn Clarke between July 10  to July 22 at 111 Miles Mahdia, Potaro.

They appeared before Chief Magistrate Ann Mc Lennon at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court where they were remanded to prison until October 17, 2016.

Last week, police scouring an area between Mahdia and Konawaruk recovered bones that appeared to be from half of a hand, two legs and shoulders.

The now dead man, was said to have left his Lot ‘C’ Norton Street, Lodge home on June 15 for North Fork, where he had been working as a gold miner for over 20 years.

Reports state that his wife, Rachelle Clarke, became worried after he failed to answer several phone calls on July 10, after speaking to him earlier that day informing about items she had sent to the interior for him with a bus driver.

Clarke reportedly called the driver after 20:00 hrs to say he was coming out from North Fork to Mahdia.
