Pedestrian killed in ‘hit and run’

David Murray was earlier this evening struck down by a speeding motor vehicle at Number 51 Village, East Berbice-Corentyne.
According to information reaching News Room, the 30-year-old man, also of Number 51 Village was walking along the public road when the vehicle hit him and sped off.
Murray was rushed to the Skeldon Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Police are still trying to locate the vehicle.
