Police are investigating the murder of Clint Peters, a miner, which occurred about 19:00hrs last night at Jackass Landing, Puruni River, Mazaruni.
Investigations revealed that the suspect accused the deceased of talking his name, as a result an argument ensued and the suspect stabbed the deceased multiple times about his body with a knife.
He was rushed to the Bartica Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The assailant was captured by public spirited citizens and handed over to the police.
