19-year-old dies in road accident

The police are conducting investigations into a fatal accident which occurred at about 21:25hrs last night, on Three Friends Public Road, Essequibo Coast.

The incident resulted in the death of a 19-year-old driver.

Enquiries disclosed that Chandi Dyal of “H” Lima, Essequibo Coast was the driver of motor car PTT 5016, proceeding south of the aforementioned public road, at a fast rate, when he lost control and collided with a lamp-pole.

He was taken to the Suddie Hospital in an unconscious state and was receiving medical treatment when he succumbed.
