    The following persons have been charged by the police for driving under the influence of alcohol.

     

    1. Naresh Ramdat, Lot 97 Sheet Anchor, East Canje, was stopped and tested with a breathalyzer on 2016-05-05 while driving motor vehicle CH 2680 on the Esplande Public Road, New Amsterdam, Berbice. He was found to be above the legal limit in terms of the consumption of alcohol. He was charged and appeared at the New Amsterdam Magistrate Court on 2016-05-16 where he pleaded ‘guilty’ and was fined $7,500.00. In addition, his licence was endorsed.

     

    1. Videsh Persaud of Lot 12 Plantation Hope, WCB, was stopped and tested with a breathalyzer on 2016-03-24 while driving motor vehicle PPP 2526 on the No. 10 Public Road, WCB. He was found to be above the legal limit in terms of the consumption of alcohol. He was charged and appeared at the Fort Wellington Magistrate Court on

    2016-03-26 where he pleaded ‘guilty’ and was fined $7, 500.00 or 14 days in prison.

     

    1. Davindranauth Johnny of Lot 67 Rose Hall, Corentyne, Berbice, was stopped and tested with a breathalyzer on 2016-03-28 while driving motor vehicle PRR 6990 on the Skeldon Public Road, Corentyne, Berbice. He was found to be above the legal limit in terms of the consumption of alcohol. He was charged and appeared at the Springlands Magistrate Court on 2016-03-30 where he pleaded ‘guilty’ and was fined $7, 500.00. In addition, his licence was endorsed.

     

    1. Nagasar  Dhalu of Lot 124 No. 71 Village, Corentyne, Berbice, was stopped and tested with a breathalyzer on 2016-06-16 while driving motor vehicle CF 9801 on the No. 75 Village Public Road, Corentyne, Berbice. He was found to be above the legal limit in terms of the consumption of alcohol. He was charged and appeared at the Springlands Magistrate Court on 2016-06-23 where he pleaded ‘guilty’ and was fined $7,500.00. In addition, his licence was endorsed.

     

     

    1. Inshan Ally of Lot 109 Anna Regina, Essequibo Coast, was stopped and tested with a breathalyzer on 2016-05-06 while driving motor vehicle BRR 1310 on the Taymouth Manor Public Road, Essequibo Coast. He was found to be above the legal limit in terms of the consumption of alcohol. He was charged and appeared at the Anna Regina Magistrate Court on 2016-05-10 where he pleaded ‘guilty’ and was fined $20,000.00.

     

    1. Talesh Mahindranauth of Lot 113 Richmond, Essequibo Coast, was stopped and tested with a breathalyzer on 2016-05-06 while driving motor vehicle CH 7293 on the Anna Regina Public Road, Essequibo Coast. He was found to be above the legal limit in terms of the consumption of alcohol. He was charged and appeared at the Anna Regina Magistrate Court on 2016-06-14 where he pleaded ‘guilty’ and was fined $30,000.00. Driver Licence suspended for six months.

     

    1. Yadeo Rampersaud of Johanna Cecelia, Essequibo Coast, was stopped and tested with a breathalyzer on 2016-05-15 while driving motor vehicle PSS 1418 on the Cotton Field Public Road, Essequibo Coast. He was found to be above the legal limit in terms of the consumption of alcohol. He was charged and appeared at the Anna Regina Magistrate Court on 2016-05-17 where he pleaded ‘guilty’ and was fined $20,000.00.

Ronley Arjune of Lot 183 Carter Street, Kara Kara, Linden, was stopped and tested with a breathalyzer on 2016-03-20 while driving motor vehicle PEE 4985 on the Amelia’s Ward Public Road, Linden. He was found to be above the legal limit in terms of the consumption of alcohol. He was charged and appeared at the Christianburg Magistrate Court on 2016-03-22 where he pleaded ‘guilty’ and was fined $7,500.00. In addition, his licence was endorsed.

     

    1. Terrence Casey of Lot 490 Moraballi Street, Mackenzie, Linden, was stopped and tested with a breathalyzer on 2016-03-20 while driving motor vehicle PNN 6601 on the Amelia’s Ward Public Road, Linden. He was found to be above the legal limit in terms of the consumption of alcohol. He was charged and appeared at the Christianburg Magistrate Court on 2016-03-22 where he pleaded ‘guilty’ and was fined $7,500.00. In addition, his licence was endorsed.

     

    1. Chaitram Ramlachand of Lot 687 Section ‘B’, Block ‘X’, Diamond Housing Scheme, EBD, was stopped and tested with a breathalyzer on 2016-03-20 while driving motor vehicle GSS 1524 on the Bamia Public Road, Soesdyke Linden Highway. He was found to be above the legal limit in terms of the consumption of alcohol. He was charged and appeared at the Christianburg Magistrate Court on 2016-03-22 where he pleaded ‘guilty’ and was fined $7,500.00. In addition, his licence was endorsed.
