27-year-olds perish in separate accidents

The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal accident which occurred on the Ann’s Grove Public Road, East Coast Demerara (E.C.D.) at about 22:20hrs on Saturday and another which occurred on the Belle View Public Road, West Bank Demerara (WBD) at about 3:30 hours on Sunday.

Dead is 27-year-old John Forde of 17 Supply, Mahaica, E.C.D. and 27-year-old Dominic Fabian King of 33 Vive-La-Force, W.B.D.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Forde who was the lone occupant of Motorcar PLL 7886, was proceeding east along the Ann’s Grove Public Road when he lost control of the vehicle and ended up in a southern canal.

He was rescued by public spirited citizens and rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital where a doctor pronounced him dead on arrival.

Dominic Fabian King, on the other hand, was riding Motor cycle CH 1556 in a southern direction along the Belle View Public Road when he also lost control and collided with a utility pole, police said.

He was rushed to the West Demerara Regional Hospital by public spirited citizens. However, he was also pronounced dead on arrival.
