The body of a 14-year-old boy was this afternoon found in a drain at 61 Village, Berbice bearing several chop wounds.
Dead is Akeem Grimmon of Number 61 Village, Corentyne Berbice.
According to police sources, his body was found in a drain by ranks of the Community Policing Group in the area at approximately 15:00 hrs on Monday. It was noted that the body has a stab wound and several chop wounds.
Information provided states that the 14-year-old went missing on Saturday. He was last seen by a neighbour at 17:00 hrs that afternoon.
One person has since been arrested.
