Several injured as minibus flips on Regent Street

A route 40 minibus which was being driven by an off-duty Police Officer this evening “ran off” the road after the policeman lost control of the vehicle on Regent Street, Georgetown.

 

According to one of the passengers who was in the vehicle, the driver whose name was given as Timothy and the conductor; Ronald Maxwell were imbibing at the time of the accident.

 

The vehicle slammed into a utility pole before turning on its side. This led to all of its windows being shattered.

 

At the moment the driver and several passengers have been admitted to the Georgetown Public Hospital where doctors are fighting to save their lives.
