Foo, Adams star in Jaguars Franchise League round two
All-rounders Jonathon Foo and Anthony Adams were in fine form with bat and ball as second round action in the Guyana Cricket Board’s Jaguars Franchise League Three-day competition began at four venues across the country on Friday.
Foo first bagged 3-11 and then returned to hit an unbeaten 75 as Lower Corentyne closed the first day in firm control against Georgetown at the Albion ground.
Over at the Cumberland ground, Adams took 5-60 and was unbeaten on 30 at the close, but Essequibo ended the final day in a spot of bother against West Berbice.

At Enterprise, East Coast Demerara won toss and inserted Upper Corentyne to bat first. Upper Corentyne made 149 all out off 57.3 overs (Keon Sinclair 36*, Anthony Bramble 30, Clinton Pestano 23, Amir Khan 2-21, Paul Wintz 2-20, Vivian Albert 2-33) East Coast Demerara 126-6 at the close (Rajendra Chandrika 31*, Kamesh Yadram 44, Bhaskar Yadram 26).
At Albion, Georgetown won the toss and elected to bat first. At Everest, West Demerara batted first against East Bank. West Demerara 253 all out (Travis Persaud 53, Tagenarine Chanderpaul 47, Mahendra Dhanpaul 43, Romario Shephard 36, Sherfane Rutherford 2-40, Steven Jacobs 2-41, Totaram Bishun 2-47) East Coast Demerara closed the day on 55-2 (Romario Shepherd 2-12).
