Suspect confesses to murdering Cummings Lodge woman

According to the Guyana Police force, a suspect has confessed to the brutal murder of 47-year-old Anita Mohan whose body was discovered in her home on Sunday.

In a statement on Monday night, the police stated that “Homicide Detectives assigned to investigate the brutal murder of Anita Mohan, of Cummings Lodge, yesterday, are already in the process of seeking legal advice in the matter.”

It was further disclosed that a suspect has confessed to the crime and has given vital information of an accomplice, who investigators are making diligent efforts to apprehend.

Mohan was discovered with stab wounds about her face and body by her 27-year-old son Imtiaz Khan, about 16:45hrs on Sunday.
