22-year-old charged with murder of aunt
A 22-year-old mason was on Thursday charged with the murder of his aunt, 47-year-old Anita Mohan of Cummings Lodge, East Coast Demerara.
Kevin Mohan of Lot 315 Fifth Street, Cummings Lodge appeared before Magistrate Zamilla Ally-Seepaul at the Vigilance Magistrate’s Court where he was admitted to prison on October 28, 2016.
A post mortem of the woman revealed that she died from multiple injuries.
Mohan was discovered with stab wounds about her face and body by her 27-year-old son Imtiaz Khan, about 16:45hrs on Sunday.
According to the Guyana Police force, the suspect confessed to the brutal murder of his 47-year-old aunt and has given vital information of an accomplice, who investigators are making diligent efforts to apprehend.
