The decomposed body of an East Indian female was found minutes ago at Fyrish Village, Corentyne, Berbice.
News Room was informed that the body is that of pensioner, Verona Franklin, 86 years.
According to information gathered the woman lived alone and was seen two days ago. Neighbours reportedly smelt a stench emanating from the woman’s home and contacted her relatives.
When the woman’s grandson entered the home, he discovered the badly decomposed body.
The authorities were summoned to the scene.
