Five homeless following West Berbice Fire

A family of five is now homeless after a fire of unknown origin completely destroyed their two flat wooden home at Paradise West Coast Berbice (W.C.B) on Wednesday, September 21, 2016.

The building is owned by Melissa Hutson who was not at home at the time of the fire.

According to information received, the fire started just after 10:00 hours this morning; moments after one of the woman’s son left the building.

Persons residing in the area are alleging that one of the occupants may have left a stove lighted, but others are suggesting that the fire was electrical in origin.

The fire tender arrived moments later and was able to control the blaze.
