A mother is pleading for justice for her dead son, Levan Chanderpaul, whose body was found with his hands and feet bound at Number 68 back-dam, on August 24, 2016.

News Room spoke to the mother of the deceased, Seerani Chandarpaul aka Mala who expressed her disappointment in the manner in which the case is being dealt with.

“Nobody na do nothing, if me na get satisfaction at Whim me gon go to higher people… it na fair, I want justice for my son” the woman said.

The woman is adamant that the suspects that were previously in custody are responsible for the 26-year-old’s death.

Two persons were taken into custody for the man’s murder, however they were questioned and later released on bail.

The woman said investigators promised to visit her regularly but this is not being done.

News Room also spoke to Police Sources in ‘B’ Division who disclosed that the case is practically running cold, since no eyewitness is coming forward and there is not enough evidence to arrest anyone. However, it was noted that the police are still looking for new leads in an effort to solve the case.
