BREAKING NEWS; Two confess to murder of Better Hope man

Acting on information, the police in ‘C’ Division this afternoon arrested two men from Plaisance, East Coast Demerara for the August 21, 2016, murder of 76-year-old David Ramkissoon.

The pensioner was murdered in his home while his family was on an outing.

Captured are a 22-year-old and 27-year-old whose names were given as Godfrey Gill and Sherwin Clark. The men were arrested at different locations within the community and have had brushes with the law before, police sources said.

News Room also understands that the men have since confessed to the crime.

Ramkissoon was found in pool of blood at his home back in August by his son who had just returned home with his wife and child from a day spent at the creek.

The persons who invaded the home and slit the man’s throat also took away approximately $6M which was being kept at the home.
