Five Haitians en route to Brazil detained

Ranks of the Guyana Police Force (GPF) intercepted a vehicle with five male Haitian Nationals who entered Guyana via a backtrack route, heading to Brazil.

According to the GPF, the men were found in a vehicle which the police intercepted at Wisroc Junction, Wismar, Linden at about 23:00h last night.

They reportedly entered the country via the Suriname Back Track in Springlands, Berbice and were allegedly en route to neighbouring Brazil, when they were detained.
