Ranks of the Guyana Police Force (GPF) on Friday arrested a male in Bartica for possession of cannabis and another in connection with cocaine found in a house at East Meten-Meer-Zorg, West Coast Demerara (W.C.D).
According to the GPF, at about 08:00 hrs on Friday, officers in ‘D’ Division searched a house at East Meten-Meer-Zorg, WCD and found therein 229 grams of cocaine and 114 grams of cannabis for which a male was arrested.
Meanwhile, at approximately 17:00 hrs on Friday, a male who was under police surveillance was spotted on First Avenue, Bartica with a bag. He was stopped and searched and was found to be in possession of in excess of twenty-eight pounds of compressed cannabis wrapped in several taped parcels.
