The young man identified as former St Rose’s high student, Orvin Tiwari, reportedly went into the river and eventually ended up in a channel, which made it difficult for him to get out.

According to information reaching the News Room, the man along with other persons from his village travelled to the Riverian community to celebrate with the villagers there. Hundreds of persons would have travelled to the community over the past two days to take part in the celebrations, including government officials and members of the diplomatic community.
