UPDATE; Five arrested in connection with Rio Inn Night Club shooting

Police have arrested five persons in relation to a recent shooting outside of the Rio Inn Night Club.

Two male suspects have been arrested on Friday morning at separate locations in relation to the Monday, September 26,2016 shooting outside the Rio Nightclub.

Additionally, Homicide Detectives assigned to the incident have also found two unlicensed handguns (.32 pistol and a .38 revolver along with fifteen (15) rounds of ammunition during the search of a house at Hadfield Street, Lodge, Georgetown.

Three persons, inclusive of two females have been taken into custody and are assisting with the investigations.

On the day of the shooting, 18 years old, Ryan Sergeant, of North Ruimveldt died of gunshot wounds, at about 2:30 hours.  A police report had stated that CCTV footage was obtained from the nightclub and investigators were informed of the possible suspects who were involved in an altercation, prior to rounds being discharged.
