    By Malisa Playter Harry

The second victim who was pinned by a Canter at Abary Creek, Region Five on Tuesday (September 27, 2016) has succumbed to his injuries at the Georgetown Public Hospital on Thursday.

Dead is Tractor Operator Conrad Williams of lot 12 Cottage Village, West Coast Berbice.

News Room previously reported that Williams along with 14-year-old Doodnauth Suklall were standing at the rear of a Canter which shifted from its position and pinned them to the ground. Suklall of Dehoop Village, East Coast Demerara was killed on the spot.

It is alleged that the driver of the canter, Deonarine Suklall (father of Doodnauth) along with the deceased were assisting in providing light to a pontoon crossing over the creek when the driver exited his vehicle but allegedly failed to apply his hand break resulting in the Canter shifting from its position and pinning the two males.

Both were rushed to the Fort Wellington Hospital where the 14-year-old was pronounced dead on arrival whilst Williams was transferred to the New Amsterdam Hospital and later on to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he later died. Williams was said to have sustained broken bones about the body and possible organ damage.
