19 persons charged with driving under the influence of alcohol

The Guyana Police Force (GPF) today released another batch of persons charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.

 

1. Omparkesh Rajpat of Adventure, Essequibo Coast, was stopped and tested with a breathalyzer on 2016-03-15 while driving motor vehicle PSS 4095 on the Henrietta Public Road, Essequibo Coast. He was found to be above the legal limit in terms of the consumption of alcohol. He was charged and appeared at the Anna Regina Magistrate Court on 2016-03-16 where he pleaded ‘guilty’ and was fined $30,000.00.

 

2. Anthony Johnson of Lot 118 Diamond, EBD, was stopped and tested with a breathalyzer on 2016-08-05 while driving motor vehicle PTT 3706 on the Vlissengen Road, Kitty. He was found to be above the legal limit in terms of the consumption of alcohol. He was charged and appeared at the Georgetown Magistrate Court on 2016-06-10 where he pleaded ‘guilty’ and was fined $7, 500.00.

 

3. Rameshwar Singh of Lot 206 Walton Hall, Essequibo Coast, was stopped and tested with a breathalyzer on 2016-03-15 while driving motor vehicle PGG 7126 on the Henrietta Public Road, Essequibo Coast. He was found to be above the legal limit in terms of the consumption of alcohol. He was charged and appeared at the Anna Regina Magistrate Court on 2016-03-16 where he pleaded ‘guilty’ and was fined $30, 000.00.

 

4. Rolestan Griffith of Lot 868 Onderneeming, EBE, was stopped and tested with a breathalyzer on 2016-08-06 while driving motor vehicle PMM 4148 on the Vlissengen Road, Georgetown. He was found to be above the legal limit in terms of the consumption of alcohol. He was charged and appeared at the Georgetown Magistrate Court on 2016-08-12 where he pleaded ‘guilty’ and was fined $10,000.00. . In addition, his licence was endorsed.

 

5. Omesh Ramadar of Lot 135 Henrietta, Essequibo Coast, was stopped and tested with a breathalyzer on 2016-03-13 while driving motor vehicle PLL 8576 on the Cotton Field Public Road, Essequibo Coast. He was found to be above the legal limit in terms of the consumption of alcohol. He was charged and appeared at the Charity Magistrate Court on 2016-03-14 where he pleaded ‘guilty’ and was fined $30,000.00.

 

6. Kelvin Prince of Lot 61 Charity, Essequibo Coast, was stopped and tested with a breathalyzer on 2016-05-26 while driving motor vehicle PRR 1435 on the Hampton Court Public Road, Essequibo Coast He was found to be above the legal limit in terms of the consumption of alcohol. He was charged and appeared at the Anna Regina Magistrate Court on 2016-05-04 where he pleaded ‘guilty’ and was fined $20,000.00.

 

7. Latchman Chutkhan, of Lot 48 Bloomfield Village, Corentyne, was stopped and tested with a breathalyzer on 2016-05-10 while driving motor vehicle PFF 5636 on the Tain  Public Road, Corentyne, Berbice. He was found to be above the legal limit in terms of the consumption of alcohol. He was charged and appeared at the Whim Magistrate Court on 2016-08-12 where he pleaded ‘guilty’ and was fined $7,500.00.

 

8. Jason Persaud, of Lot 732 Charity, Essequibo Coast, was stopped and tested with a breathalyzer on 2016-06-26 while driving motor vehicle PSS 658 on the Perth Public Road, Essequibo Coast. He was found to be above the legal limit in terms of the consumption of alcohol. He was charged and appeared at the Anna Regina Magistrate Court on 2016-06-27 where he pleaded ‘guilty’ and was fined $30,000.00 or two weeks in prison.

 

9. Prince Skinner of Lot 137 Victor Street, Canje, Berbice, was stopped and tested with a breathalyzer on 2016-07-10 while driving motor vehicle CH 5956 on the Cumberland Public Road, Canje Berbice. He was found to be above the legal limit in terms of the consumption of alcohol. He was charged and appeared at the Reliance Magistrate Court on 2016-07-13 where he pleaded ‘guilty’ and was fined $7,500.00.

 

10. Deochand Raqhurat of Lot 15 Grant 1806 Crabwood Creek, Corentyne, Berbice, was stopped and tested with a breathalyzer on 2016-07-08 while driving motor vehicle PPP 5489 on the Number 79 Public Road, Corentyne, Berbice. He was found to be above the legal limit in terms of the consumption of alcohol. He was charged and appeared at the Springlands Magistrate Court on 2016-07-11 where he pleaded ‘guilty’ and was fined

$7, 500.00.

 

11. Sarwar Persaud of Lot 900 Canefield East Canje, Berbice, was stopped and tested with a breathalyzer on 2016-07-10 while driving motor vehicle CH 1020 on the Esplanade Public Road, New Amsterdam, Berbice. He was found to be above the legal limit in terms of the consumption of alcohol. He was charged and appeared at the New Amsterdam Magistrate Court on 2016-07-12 where he pleaded ‘guilty’ and was fined $7,500.00.

 

12. Permal Ramphal of Lot 26 Ramphal Street, Nigg, Berbice, was stopped and tested with a breathalyzer on 2016-07-10 while driving motor vehicle PLL 2860 on the Cumberland Public Road, Berbice. He was found to be above the legal limit in terms of the consumption of alcohol. He was charged and appeared at the Reliance Magistrate Court on 2016-07-13 where he pleaded ‘guilty’ and was fined $7,500.00.

 

13. Anand Arjun of Lot 7 Number 64 Village, Berbice, was stopped and tested with a breathalyzer on 2016-07-23 while driving motor vehicle PKK 2791 on the No.76 Public Road, Corriverton, Berbice. He was found to be above the legal limit in terms of the consumption of alcohol. He was charged and appeared at the Springlands Magistrate Court on 2016-07-25 where he pleaded ‘guilty’ and was fined $7,500.00.

 

14. Parsam Basdeo of Lot 12 Public Road, Corriverton, Berbice, was stopped and tested with a breathalyzer on 2016-07-21 while driving motor vehicle PTT 4384 on the No. 75 Public Road, Corriverton, Berbice. He was found to be above the legal limit in terms of the consumption of alcohol. He was charged and appeared at the Springlands Magistrate Court on 2016-07-22 where he pleaded ‘guilty’ and was fined $7,500.00.

 

15. Gopaul True, of Canefield, Canje, Berbice, was stopped and tested with a breathalyzer on 2016-07-26 while driving motor vehicle HB 9013 on the Main Street, New Amsterdam, Berbice. He was found to be above the legal limit in terms of the consumption of alcohol. He was charged and appeared at the New Amsterdam Magistrate Court on 2016-07-27 where he pleaded ‘guilty’ and was fined $7,500.00.

 

16. Neville Joseph, of Lot 51 Fair Rust, Mackenzie, Linden, was stopped and tested with a breathalyzer on 2016-07-07 while driving motor vehicle PEE 4031 on the Causarina Drive Public Road, Linden. He was found to be above the legal limit in terms of the consumption of alcohol. He was charged and appeared at the Christianburg Magistrate Court on 2016-07-12 where he pleaded ‘guilty’ and was fined $7,500.00.

 

17. Simon Bennett, of Silver Hill, Soesdyke, Linden Highway, was stopped and tested with a breathalyzer on 2016-07-12 while driving motor vehicle CH 1719 on the Adventure Public Road, Linden Soesdyke Highway. He was found to be above the legal limit in terms of the consumption of alcohol. He was charged and appeared at the Christianburg Magistrate Court on 2016-07-19 where he pleaded ‘guilty’ and was fined $7,500.00.

 

18. Neville Ramlall, of Lot 12 Race Course, Corentyne, Berbice, was stopped and tested with a breathalyzer on 2016-08-27 while driving motor vehicle PKK 8803 on the Springlands Public Road, Linden. He was found to be above the legal limit in terms of the consumption of alcohol. He was charged and appeared at the Springlands Magistrate Court on 2016-08-29 where he pleaded ‘guilty’ and was fined $7,500.00.

 

19. Mukeshwan Isardeen, of Hibania, Essequibo Coast, was stopped and tested with a breathalyzer on 2016-07-08 while driving motor BMM 2593 on the Suddie Public Road, Essequibo Coast. He was found to be above the legal limit in terms of the consumption of alcohol. He was charged and appeared at the Anna Regina Magistrate Court on 2016-07-12 where he pleaded ‘guilty’ and was fined $7,500.00 and two (2) weeks suspension.
