Leg-spinner Jeffrey Vandersay snared his 10th five-wicket haul in First-Class cricket to lead Sri Lanka A to victory over West Indies A in the third and final unofficial ‘Test’ in Damdulla.
Chasing 333 to win the match and series, West Indies A were bowled out for 194 with Vandersay claiming 6-47. The victory gave Sri Lanka A a 2-1 series win.
Vandersay received solid support from Lakshan Sandakan, who bagged 3-61, as none of the West Indies batsmen got past Shamarh Brooks’ 46.
Kieron Powell made 44 and fellow opener Rajendra Chandrika 30. Final scores in the game: Sri Lanka A 318 and 257-6 declared; West Indies A 243 and 194.
